Most Men Wait Too Long
You don’t have to hit rock bottom before you ask for help. Something isn’t working. Maybe it’s been building for a while. The drinking that’s gotten harder to control, the anger that keeps costing you relationships, the pressure of holding everything together while quietly falling apart inside. Maybe you’ve tried to push through it on your own and it’s not working. You’re not weak for being here. You’re here because you’re ready to do something about it.
Do Any of These Sound Familiar?
You’re using alcohol, substances, or other behaviors to manage stress, numb out, or just get through the day. Your anger is affecting your marriage, your kids, or your job and you don’t fully understand why. You feel pressure to perform at work, at home, and in your relationships and the gap between who you are and who you want to be keeps growing. You’ve had success on the outside but feel empty or stuck on the inside. You know something needs to change but you don’t know where to start. You’ve never done therapy before and you’re not sure it’s for you. If any of that resonates this is the right place.
What Men’s Counseling at Witthouse Covers:
Men’s issues don’t fit neatly into one category. At Witthouse Counseling we work with the full picture of what men face. Not just the symptom that brought you in but the underlying patterns driving it. Addiction and substance use including alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, and other behavioral addictions. Anger and emotional regulation, understanding what’s underneath the anger and building better responses. Identity and purpose, figuring out who you are outside of your role at work or at home. Relationship and marriage issues including communication breakdown, conflict, disconnection, and rebuilding trust. Anxiety and depression in men, which often looks different in men than it does in women and frequently goes unaddressed. Life transitions including career changes, divorce, loss, fatherhood, and other major shifts. Sexual addiction and compulsive behavior, addressed with clinical expertise and without shame.
What Working With Anthony Is Actually Like:
If you’re expecting someone who will just nod and take notes while you talk, that’s not how this works. Anthony brings over a decade of clinical experience, a background as a Division I athlete, and a direct honest approach to every session. He’s not going to tell you what you want to hear. He’s going to help you see what you haven’t been able to see and then help you do something about it. Sessions are structured and goal-focused. You’ll always know what you’re working on and why. Faith is welcome here if it’s meaningful to you. Anthony’s approach is grounded in his own personal faith though counseling is never forced into a religious framework. Most clients start with weekly sessions and adjust from there based on their goals and progress.
